Lee Jackson is an author and historian whose latest book, Palaces of Pleasure charts the rise of nineteenth century mass entertainment, from music halls, gin palaces and dancing saloons to exhibitions grounds (like Alexandra Palace, Earls Court and White City), the Victorian seaside, and even professional football.
