Everyone’s favourite local historian Amir Dotan (@HistoryofStokey) tells a fascinating story about Stoke Newington’s lost cinemas and pubs. There’s a great cultural, social and historical angles to both obviously and both are popular topics. The talk will be a glimpse into Stoke Newington’s past when there was a pub on every street corner and multiple cinemas in Stoke Newington Road in close proximity.
