70s pulp fiction book covers vs the modern covers of the books found in every good bookshop – who wins? Artist Harriet Richardson (who went on 100 Valentine’s dates for a Vice article) and poet and pulp novelist Tim Wells (Moonstomp, Shine on Me) have very different views and will leave no stone unturned in their quest to find a winner. Whether it’s the lurid, racy and often downright offensive covers of the past or the stylish, yet often samey jackets of today, there’s only one way to find out.
The Newington Green Meeting House/New Unity is proud to host Stoke Newington Lit Fest. As a venue, it does not endorse any of the specific views expressed by the organisations we host.
