As all the writers on our programme will tell you, the only way to become a writer is to write.
However, everyone needs some expert help along the way, so we’ve put together great programme of workshops this year – everything from how to navigate the highs and lows of self-publishing to a Writing Workout hosted by the fabulous literary magazine Ambit. You’ll get some superb advice, top tips and access to a number of publishing professionals to help hone your writing skills and land a publishing deal.
Books for Everyone – kids / families
Kick off the children’s festival with writing – or drawing – yourself into stories! With the help of Sarwat Chadda and other authors, and the lovely people from Letterbox Library, everyone can get involved and create stories that you might not find on the bookshelf. From picture books to fiction, come and join in – and pssst, this is FREE.
