Ashley Hickson-Lovence was born in 1991 in Hackney, London. He is a former secondary school English teacher and is currently completing a Creative and Critical Writing PhD at the University of East Anglia. Hickson-Lovence is also a poet, football referee and a keen marathon runner. His debut novel ‘The 392’ which unfolds entirely on a bus travelling from Hackney to Highbury over just 36 minutes is published by OWN IT!.
